As of February 14th 2021, all CAT operators must implement the new requirements regarding Psychological Testing and Support Programme. In collaboration with psychologists and national aviation authorities, we have developed a complete, ready to use solution including all manual texts and compliance lists.
Psychological Testing (CAT.GEN.MPA.175)
The new Psychological Testing module consists of different 3 psychological assessments and two parts that are added manually.
- The first test is a cognitive abilities test and covers technical & physics knowledge, english skills, math, logical thinking, spatial orientation and concentration abilities.
- The second test is a classical personality test to outline the the Big 5 personality trait dimensions.
- The third psychological assessment is a widely used depression test measuring the severity of depression in adolescents and adults.
In addition to the psychological tests, there is also two elements that cover teamwork (CRM dimension) and professional skills (CAT courses or results of a Sim Check).
The psychological assessment is mandatory for all newly hired pilots in commercial operations. However, the test is recommended for all pilots.
